Hackney Theatre Partnership (HTP)

Hackney Theatre Partnership is a consortium of theatre venues and production companies working together to sustain and develop the market for theatre and performance.

HTP focuses on nurturing new audiences and the coordinated provision of access, education, training, employment and self-employment opportunities in the theatre, performance and creative arts industries.

Services & Resources:

• Providing a platform for new performers, writers, artists, giving those with little or no access to the arts a voice
• Providing regular professional development programmes for professional theatre and performing arts practitioners and companies in Hackney
• Providing opportunities for Hackney residents to access education, training, employment and self-employment opportunities in the theatre industry
• Developing a strategic approach to skills development and employment for Hackney's professional theatre and performance practitioners wishing to work at the 2012 Olympics
• Establishing an HTP Youth Arts & Education Network that provides a more strategic, coordinated arts 'offer' to all young people in Hackney
• Providing an on-going network for emerging theatre and performance companies initially in Hackney and later through partnerships across the five Olympic boroughs and London wide.
